Big go for UK import - $21 into $4.80
John O’Shea has an almost faultless record of getting imports home at their first Australian start and early betting would suggest there is another one ready to strike at Randwick on Saturday.

Magic Hurricane is a lightly raced five-year-old gelding with two victories over staying journeys in the UK. O’Shea has given him two unplaced lead-up trials at headquarters and has hit the line under a hold on each occasion.
The import resumes in the Randwick City Council Handicap Benchmark 94 (1400m) and after opening at $21 with online betting giant Bet365, has trimmed right up, currently into $5.50 with Bet365 and as short as $4.80 with Sportsbet.
"He’s a really nice horse,” O’Shea said. "I would rather him at the mile but I thought the same thing about It’s Somewhat.”
It’s Somewhat was produced off two unplaced lead-up trials to win the Group III Liverpool City Cup (1300m) at Warwick Farm in February.
O’Shea also produced Contributer first-up in Australia to win the Group III Coongy (2000m) at Caulfield during the spring of 2014 and Hartnell finished runner-up behind Contributer at his first try in Australia in the Group I Chipping Norton Stakes (1600m).
O’Shea nominated the Group I Metropolitan (2400m) as a potential longer term target for the son of Irish stayer Hurricane Run.
The Godolphin juggernaut will also be represented by odds-on favourite Holler in the opening race at Randwick on Saturday – the Jewellery Liquidators Plate 2YO (1100m).
Holler was a convincing winner over this route on debut back in January.
"I’m confident,” O’Shea said. "I really like the horse. He’ll have this run then go out for a freshen-up. A race like the Golden Rose would be on the cards for him.”
O’Shea also suggests punters give Transfers another chance in the final race – the Eastern Heart Clinic Benchmark 85 Handicap (1400m).
"She’s racing well and looking for the 1400-metres,” O’Shea said. "As long as it’s not too wet.”
Barbed rounds out the Randwick quartet for O’Shea, resuming in the Listed June Stakes (1100m).
"The wide barrier makes it tough,” he said. "He’s going well enough but will need all the favours from out there.”
