CAULFIELD: Campanology (R7 No. 3 Trainer C J Waller) - has now had three runs in Australia and this is his race. Much improved effort secondup to finish fifth here over 1400m behind Tried And Tired, then got a long way out of his ground but made up many lengths in the run home to be beaten just two and a half lengths by roughie Shadow Ninja over 1300m. Steps up to the mile tomorrow and is incredible value at $9.
GOLD COAST: Monbazillac (R1 No. 10 Trainer P G Moody) - is a Sydney sprinter having his first run up here fresh from a break and looks the bet of the day. Didn't break through last prep but ran a string of minor placings behind some handy types including a third to Dream Choice and Shelford over 1200m at Randwick two runs back. Should be too good for these on the limit weight from the perfect draw and with C Munce on board. The $4.00 looks very generous.
MORPHETTVILLE: Royal Standing (R3 No. 2 Trainer Brent Stanley) - Damien Oliver could probably tell you how unlucky this horse was not to have won the Anzac Day Stakes at Flemington, the horse got caught up in traffic in the jam packed capacity field but flew late to finish 5th btn 0.7-lens in a very busy finish. It was a great run. Prior to that the son of Stratum was first-up when 5.1-lens 5th of 8 in the G3 Breeder's Stakes behind London Lolly and wait for it...Go Indy Go. Trace back to his only other run and you'll see that he was 4th to Boomwaa in the G3 Maribyrnong Plate.
